Visions of the Perfect Gift
A picture tells a thousand words. So the old saying goes and I suppose that’s true as trying to describe what an image shows would require, well probably more than a thousand words, as well as a coordinate system and a reference grid of some sort. Anyhow, a picture is probably worth a billion words when only you can see – like in pitch darkness – for then, verily, you will be as the one-eyed man in the kingdom of the blind.
Or, as any soldier will tell you, night using the element of surprise is the best time to strike. That and the additional advantage of a pair of Night Vision Goggles. As gadgets go, night vision is just uber cool for blokes who dream of nothing else but the thrill of night manoeuvres in the back garden. Sure they’ll give you all the acceptable reasons for wanting those gifts for men, including spotting badgers and owls or great fun for the children, but really they just want to see anything up to 15 metres ahead of them in absolute darkness. Night vision goggles look pretty darn cool too, but that observation only holds true if someone else has also got a pair.
Or, if you are in touch with your more feminine side (possibly because you are female) and wish to see the world as others see it, then gifts for women that demonstrate a combination of this degree of empathy with a love of pets (always a winner with the ladies) come no better than the Pet’s Eye View Camera. It’s a lightweight mini digital camera that clips your pet’s collar, taking up to 40 photos to document their nocturnal habits. Just hook up the camera to your PC and check out what sort of mischief Rover and Tiddles have been getting up to and how you look to them. It’s small and light enough for most cats and dogs, but not too effective with goldfish, snails or hamsters really.
